Warehousing

Besides our mining/quarry operations and processing facilities, we also have warehousing operations to stock our natural stone product inventory. There is a normal lag time between quarrying the blocks and the finished natural stone product being available. This production time can only be addressed by maintaining a ready cut stock closer to our customers. Depending upon the location of the warehouse, the delivery time ranges from a few days to as much as 38 days (dictated by ocean carrier conditions).


A ready-to-ship supply of stock is maintained in the warehousing operations at our processing facilities. If the product needs are best fulfilled from ready cut stock at the processing facility warehouse, approximately 10 days lead time will be experienced from signed purchase order to shipment (transit time may be 33-38 days, depending upon carrier and routes selected). If the product needs are not currently in stock, the stock purchased will normally be ready to ship within 45 days of receiving a purchase order. All shipments from the processing facilities are full containers.


At selected North American locations additional stock of the more popular products is maintained. The North American locations are situated to help customers solve urgent needs, and to help reduce our customers’ inventory stocking needs. Shipments from these locations may be made in full or less than truck load lots and bundled or on A frames.
